Musée des beaux-arts de Rennes

Located in the heart of Rennes, the Museum of Fine Arts of Rennes was originally built for the University of Rennes in the 19th century. Open to the world, the museum is a forward-looking and living place, creating a dialogue between yesterday's and today's art. The paintings, sculptures, Egyptian, Greek and Celtic antiquities, and works of art from all around the world, echo the contemporary art collection. In order to discover the wealth of these collections and of the many temporary exhibitions being presented, varied and free events are programmed for all visitors. The museum opens its central atrium and the ground-floor galleries to the Biennale.
